Cooper Electric is Proud to Support Our Troops this Holiday Season

LINDEN, NJ (January 3, 2011) – Cooper Electric Supply Co., a subsidiary of Sonepar USA and leading provider of electrical supplies serving New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, is giving back this holiday season by supporting our troops overseas.  The employees of Cooper Electric Supply have adopted an Army military unit, the 863rd Engineer Battalion, currently serving in Afghanistan this holiday season.

Cooper Electric’s Central Distribution Center in Linden, NJ is taking donations, making holiday care packages and sending to the soldiers in Afghanistan. The care packages are full of food and hygiene items that are difficult to find while soldiers are deployed.  Many of Cooper Electric’s employees included a letter with their donation that wished soldiers a Happy Holidays and a safe return home. 

“I'm very proud of our employees taking the initiative to support our troops this holiday season,” said Mike Dudas, President of Cooper Electric Supply Co.  “It’s a great cause to show our appreciation to those that protect our nation, especially while they are away from their families during the holidays.”
